Realizing that it is important for kids to keep their minds active during the summer, we have designed a portion of our program to specifically focus on maintaining and
increasing academic skills. Workshop block runs every morning during the weeks of summer school. Students set personal goals, work on group projects, have time to read, and practice math
computation. The approximately three hour daily program is overseen directly by a licensed elementary teacher. Similar to individualized tutoring, students have a greater opportunity to
increase their abilities in reading, writing, and math when dedicated time is set aside each day and a qualified educator is able to give immediate feedback and design appropriate instruction. If you
are interested in helping your child avoid the “summer slide,” workshop block is certainly something to consider.
For younger children the morning is formatted like a typical preschool day.
